The Carrier Prodigy Ex Series ENTHALPY SWITCH measures the temperature of refrigerated process lines up to 90 meters (295 feet) and turns off the compressor when a pre-programmed set point is reached. It also automatically resets is measuring probe and will continue to shutdown the compressor if it reaches the programmed set point again.

A precision built, attractive, high quality unit with a solid feel and outstanding performance. By installing an ENTHALPY SWITCH into your system, you run fewer cycles and use 8% less gas. The motor operates only when necessary, thereby lowering energy consumption. In addition the switch limits the surge on startup by limiting cycle times. Used with Carrier centrifugal equipment it can reduce energy consumption up to 50%.

The Carrier ENTHALPY™ switch series provides energy efficiency and comfort to your home. The product series includes a wall-mounted or ceiling-recessed switch, with compatibility for landscape lighting systems, rooftop units, mini split heat pumps and traditional heating and cooling equipment. These products are compatible with programmable thermostats or building management systems (BMS).

Enthalpy switches are used in gas, oil, steam or air systems to tell the heating system to engage or shut down by measuring the enthalpy of the fluid in the piping.

The Carrier ENTHALPY switch, part number HH57ZC003, is used with the Interstate™ series (FYI-70, CCCA-70 and CFTA-70) and ComfortPro™ Series (C25HBA, C35HBA, C50HB and C60HB) furnaces.

The Carrier Enthalpy switch is an electronic gas control device used to activate a gas heater when there is a demand for heat. This electronic gas control device can be used on gas fired unit heaters, oil fired unit heaters and coal fired furnace blower fans.
