The HH79NZ038 is a thermistor temperature probe for use with the Carrier iC (i-connect) thermostat, this temperature probe can be used to measure room temperature of your furnace.

The Carrier Threshold Threshold Thermistor Probe is helpful in detecting abnormal compressor operation. Helps in diagnosing causes for intermittent or no heat.

Check the temperature of your HVAC unit by inserting the thermistor probe into the duct where you wish to measure. It is important that when inserting the thermistor probe into any duct, that it be inserted into the main return shortly after the central air conditioner in order to use the already conditioned air in the return to provide optimal temperature for proper operation of this unit.
