The Carrier KSAHS1701AAA Hard Start Kit is designed to replace your older model start components for proper operation. The kit includes a hard start capacitor, a jumper start relay and all the necessary wiring for installation. This part is compatible with models E09D4A8BB, E09D4A8CC, E09D4C8CC and E09D4C8CB. It is important to keep your air conditioning system functioning efficiently with this Hard Start Kit in place.

The capacitor hard start kit is designed for use with the Carrier KSAHV0701 and KSAHV0901 furnaces, which are equipped with the hard-start capacitor. The kit is made up of a replacement 5-second start capacitor, fuse holder and fuse. When installing this assembly, wire the hard start relay between the furnace run (+) (red) wire and the 50-amp load center neutral terminal to provide more starting power for the motor when it first turns on.

The Hard Start Kit is used along with a thermostat to thermostatically control an air-cooled condenser when there is no source of power or limited power available to the condenser.
