By replacing the center 1-1/2 long coupling on a Lincoln Miller 730 Series transformer with a new part PKM66CP (kit number 369664) one can change the wiring of the primary and secondary taps on the coils of a Millermatic 140 or 740 series. The purpose of changing these taps is to accommodate either stick electrodes or large diameter wire electrode holders. All accessories will work properly when using this rewired machine with either type electrode. This is a field change - there is no code required for this modification.

A coupling collar, or coupler center as it is sometimes referred to, is a white polyethylene (plastic) ring with a rubber bumper at the base. The main function of it is to cover the male end of the coupler into which the pin box will slide. This will be used on 95% of a Lincoln Logs sets.
