START RELAY
The START RELAY, Ref. No. 117U6019, is used in Danfoss central condensing units for heating and cooling systems.
The Danfoss 117U6019 START RELAY replaced by 117U6020 START RELAY is a Highly reliable Relay that makes it possible to start the compressor at low temperatures. The relay has small dimensions and can be mounted in tight spaces.
When starting the engine, the START RELAY races the solenoid to link up with the battery. It provides three amps of power for 10 seconds, enabling all other accessories to power up. For example, after 10 seconds the oil pressure light illuminates when cranking. This relay is responsible for that function during engine start-up and shut off.
The Danfoss 117U6019 START RELAY is capable of carrying out the switching function of a low-voltage control circuit, and amplifies the switching signal it receives from a control device. This relay can be applied to applications where AC or DC current is present.
The Danfoss 117U6019 START RELAY acts as a safety that makes sure you get the most out of your heating and cooling system. It is made for use with Danfoss RVK50 and RVK100 thermostats, as well as with Pioneer inverter systems. Its digital design ensures more precise temperature control, reliability, and durability.
The Danfoss 117U6019 Start Relay is a component of the refrigeration circuit and is used in all Danfoss compressor-based condensing units. The relay is designed to switch the starting current of the main compressor from a separate power supply, and it also switches off the excitation winding of the main compressor on start-up.
The Danfoss 117U6019 is a starter relay. A starter is an electric device used to start equipment or machinery. It is a smaller version of what is referred to as a "motor starter" or "motor controller". It is an electro-mechanical device intended to protect electrical devices, cables, and wires from damage or excessive current by interrupting the circuit if the current exceeds tolerable limits.
