The Carrier 297682 EA36YD129 TXV 2ton is used for cooling and heating. This carrier valve is recommended for air conditioning systems that require a two-stage, demand/capacitor type refrigerant circuit.

The 2-ton TXV is used for water-cooled heat pumps and electric heat stores. The TXV uses a metal capillary tube in the sensing bulb to measure or sense evaporator temperature. The system then opens or closes the valve to let heat into or out of the house (through the evaporator). This type of system cannot "cycle"; it simply comes on when the temperature drops and turns off when the set temperature is reached.

The Carrier 297682 EA36YD129 TXV 2 ton, 30H 9BXAQ018TXV works with solar systems. The TXV eliminates the need for a conventional, close-coupled capacitor in applications where heating only is needed. If the customer's kit includes a blower and a SEER 13 or higher outdoor unit with integral heat, the TXV can be placed on either the outdoor unit or inside the house in the furnace bypass circuits.
