IDLER ARM

The IDLER ARM is used on some Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Jenn-Air and other brands ranges and dryers. The ring gear is 301005633, left-hand thread, 5/8" diameter by 1/4" deep. The center shaft is 301005401, 4-1/16" long, having a 1/2" square shank on one end. The drive gears are 310011140, right hand threading left hand pinion.

The function of the part is to support the FRAME, which is located on top of the brushroll and has a belt that runs through it. The function of the FRAME is to keep the belt aligned properly with the brushroll. The function of the belt is to transfer rotational energy from the angled drive shaft on top of dc motor to brushroll so that brushroll can brush around and clean floor.
