The KIT.BATTERY.FGD is a combination of a seat switch, a driver overload relay, and a ballast resistor. This group of parts is used in conjunction with the EHP/AYP 583629801 to help prevent battery damage by allowing current to bypass the battery when two conditions are present: (1) The seat switch is activated but the pedal not depressed, and (2) additional current is sensed by the overload relay, caused by an increase in resistance that may be due to moisture on or under the cover cap. When these two conditions occur, voltage is directed around the battery.
