Square designs are designed to fit into a standard sized two-gang box, and can be mounted with the handle on any of 3 sides. Half-dummy lever designs have a large easy-to-operate lever handle that gives the appearance of a doorknob through a front plate that fits over the face plate on the door, also allowing for storage inside the door itself. Concealed screws fasten the decorative plates to the faces of the doors.
