The Imperial Sensing Probe is an infrared (IR) flame sensor designed to sense the presence of heat sources in gas appliance applications for stove top burner receivers. The sensor can be utilized for sensing pilot light, main burners or radiant burner ignition.

The Sensing Probe with Flame Sensor is the most convenient way to monitor the temperature of foods on your grill. Simply place it on top of your cooked meats, fish, or vegetables, and it will detect when the food has reached the desired temperature. This product has an 18-inch long heat-resistant cable to give you plenty of space. The sensing probe has a flame sensor that is attached to its part - the stainless steel stem.

The Sensing Probe senses flame and shuts off fuel to the gas grill. Also includes a Piezo-Electric instant ignition.

The Sensing Probe's 4-inch (10 cm) nylon probe with ball tip is slim and easy to handle. It activates the igniter and monitors flame presence by sensing burner temperature.

The Imperial F13978 Sensing Probe Hsi has a built in micro-switch controlled gas solenoid valve which is connected directly to the gas supply line. This allows the sensor to detect gas leaks, burner flame length, and electronics failure, which signal an alarm to warn of these conditions.

The Imperial F13978 sensing probe is used to control the start of new cooking cycles based upon food or pan temperature. It has a range of 300 to 1300 F, with a sensitivity of up to 40 degrees F rise in temperature The sensing probe can be used on both gas and electric cooktops.
