GAR-BER FILTERS FRI FRI GAUGE FILTER RESTRICTION INDICATOR. It is a heavy duty universal gauge that fits most standard filter housings and connects with a 1/8" hose barb fitting.

GAR-BER Filter Mfg., Inc., has designed the FRI-FRI GAUGE FILTER RESTRICTION INDICATOR, which will indicate whether or not your filter needs to be replaced before it damages your engine. This product comes in handy to warn and remind you to change your oil filter. It consists of a hand-held gauge that attaches to Air Box.

Gar-Ber features an exclusive combination of features that improve engine performance. These are the EGR Air Filtration System, Extended Lifting Platform, Air Director, and Gauge Filter Restriction Indicator (GFI). With these features, you can expect to improve horsepower by as much as 15% on a carbureted engine.

The Gar-Ber Gauge Filter Restriction Indicator gives its users the ability to accurately check for clogged filter conditions. For proper operation of any engine, it is imperative to maintain filter integrity and efficiency. To check if an engine's filter is clogged, the gauge fit into place on the filter canister and uses the vacuum from the suction of the air intake to measure how much restriction there is in the system. After reading its dial indicator and noting what number is displayed, it is possible to tell where restrictions exist in a system.

Most conventional filters lack the ability to quickly and easily monitor flow restriction. Most engine oil filters do not have the capability to measure or indicate oil flow restriction, therefore you can not make accurate correlations between filter restriction and performance. The FILTER RESTRICTION INDICATOR allows the driver to measure filter restriction in real time, and then make appropriate adjustments to assure proper engine protection. These unique polyurethane cells contain a small amount of pressure sensitive fluid which will swell when exposed to excessive restriction.
