The RIB2402SBC Relay 20A SPDT 24V/208-277V is a solid state relay (SSR) that has virtually no moving parts. This makes it far more reliable than traditional relays which use mechanical contacts. There are three terminals on each relay: Normally Open (NO), Common (C), and Normally Closed (NC). When used in isolation, the RIB2402SBC will complete the circuit by connecting power from NO to C and NC when turned ON. This configuration is referred to as normally closed, or NC.
