The 338-742-16 HP chassis is designed to be flexible so you can work your way. The rigid frame allows you to use the truck strictly as a dump truck, ballast trailer, or hook truck. The Harper 338-742-16 is a 7'4" truck that fits in the standard bed of a 2 plus one ton truck. It will snowplow to 13'. The front steering axle is fitted with a new portal brake system mounted above the spring for excellent visibility and easy maintenance. This system is the caliper mounted externally to the axle beam like a semi-truck. To reduce weight and complexity, we eliminated the drag link to make maintenance simple in areas where parts are scarce.
