The unit has a built-in scroll compressor and an evaporator coil resistant to corrosion. The unit's fan discharge is convoluted and its condenser coil is hermetically sealed.

The grommet removed from the power cord allows an easy fit through your sink drain - this is the only difference between this and the available dual stage unit.
