This Duct Mounted Sensing Probe (part # C7023A2005) is a dual element pyrometer designed to measure air temperature in an air stream. Temperature can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit and prevents downtime and costly returns due to overheated air ducts. The probe is installed in the ductwork downstream of, or before, central heat pump; it measures the temperature at a point where conditioned air is discharged into the house. This item plugs directly into an OutBack Power Transformer (OutBack part # 101107).

The C7023B2005 Honeywell Type III Duct Temperature Sensor sets the standard for high performance, low offset and long term stability. It's excellent accuracy is achieved by combining a nickel-copper alloy, nickel plated case. This rugged design provides reliable operation under all conditions, including the intense heat generated by electric baseboard heaters. It can also handle harsh or corrosive chemicals that produce ammonia fumes when exposed to other sensors. The NTC thermistor has low out of range leakage and a high level of frequency independence. The sensor features screw terminals and comes with three feet of leads attached.

The C7023-B has a 6"" (152mm) long body and requires an 8"" (203mm) front panel. It is designed to fit in walls with 6"" flanges exposed.

The Honeywell C7023B2005 series is a surface mount NTC thermistor. The NTC thermistors resistance varies inversely with temperature, and has a high tolerance for over-temperature conditions. When used in a heating or cooling circuit, the thermistor will limit the flow of the heat transfer fluid to prevent damage to sensitive components caused by over-heating.
