The Honeywell V4295A-1/2" installed model gas valve is UL Listed for 1/2"" copper or CPVC tubing. The valve is designed to connect directly to the output of a bulk gas tank and the input of one or two appliances. This valve is solenoid operated meaning it controls an electrically actuated diaphragm, which opens or closes the pilot and main supply openings. It is spring loaded to ensure the valve closes when power to the coil is interrupted.

This solenoid valve will automatically shut off the flow of gas when it's supposed to with no pilot light to light and no pilot valve to turn off. The valve is installed between the tank valve and gas appliances.
