The Honeywell ZD12X28TZ 12L X 28H PAR.2-POS S/R 24V is a part of their Sensing and control portfolio. It is a unit that is used for air discharge applications.

The PAR. 2-POS S/R 24V is an efficient 6-inch medium duty 2-position collimated lens constructed of sturdy polycarbonate. The self-regulating feature effectively turns off the laser output when the unit reaches ambient temperature, aiding in energy conservation and safety.

There are three models in the ZD12X24 series: PAR.2-Positive Pressure, High Efficiency, and Low Profile. These three models are cross-compatible with each other; meaning a replacement of an existing fixture can be replaced with a different model.  A standard ballast ZD12X28TZ, similar to the PAR.2 ballasts, can be found at most hardware stores. The ZD12X28TZ is ideal for architectural applications that require reduced visibility while at the same time minimizing shadows. Four low-profile internal lamps are evenly spaced across the front and sides to reduce any pulsing effect which may be caused by competitive PAR lamps.

The ZD12X28TZ works with any brand of 3-wire 24V control circuit board. The design of the programmer allows the unit to "learn" the compressor operation and then provide a substitute output on command for starting and stopping. The relay can be programmed (two options) to start and stop according to temperature, or it can stop when the compressors stops (1 minute to 5 minutes).
