With the F-500 series, Johnson Controls has created a unique elbow fitting to handle high vibration applications. The F-500-8 elbow is built with copper alloy for resistance against cracking, and works with 1/2" copper pipe measuring 1/8"-3/8" mpt. Most commercial valves have tapped ports at a 45-degree angle that requires fittings to be inserted at an angle. That means you got to reach under the pipe to get a wrench on the nut, and this gets really old when you have to do it a couple hundred time a day. This elbow from Johnson Controls allows you to easily tighten all 1/2" x 3/8" fittings from above without any strain or hassle.

Johnson Controls' F-500-8 elbow fitting is used to connect copper tubing to residential and commercial systems such as sprinklers, irrigation, plumbing and gas lines. Compatible with copper tubing that has an outside diameter ranging from 3/8" to 1/2" and a wall thickness of 0.039".
