The starter assembly is for 1/2 HP motors. The starter square shaft measures 0.750 inches outside diameter and 0.500 inches wide. The two high tensile brass mounting screws are 0.2 inches in diameter and 2.0 inches long overall, which makes them shorter than standard screws on a 1/2 HP motor (the mounting screws from the starter kit are too long).
