The PRIVACY UL collection from KWIKSET features the latest in privacy technology. This product has a concealed lock to prevent unwanted entry from the outside. The knob is ADA compliant and does not have the protruding parts that other locks have. The lever is made of sturdy, zinc die-cast metal and offers easy access as well as safety that a regular knob cannot offer.

KWIKSET 408PLL-15-RCAL-RCS Privacy opening lever 15. This is for a privacy locking lever set in ANSI Grade 2 or commercial grade ANSI specification C146.2 standard. There are two items per order: the privacy handle and the installer tool. The privacy handle is pre-drilled with two 1/4 inch holes in front to accommodate two different surface types, one for flush installation and one for semi-flush (1/4 inch).

The low rise lever will only operate the latch and is not visible when installed on the outside of the door. These privacy locks have a 12" (305 mm) throw and are supplied with 3" (75 mm) backset latch bolts.

KWIKSET security technology features a patented, unique locking mechanism that includes a rotating cam to prevent picking and bumping. This knob fits a standard 2-3/4 inch bore hole and can be used as a passage or privacy lock. This lever is designed for wood 1-1/8 inches thick or more and comes with one secured turning knob key, one removable access key and three spares.
