DEFROST SENSOR WIRE HARNESS

Lennox Comfort-Rite and Designer Series electronic control systems have a wire harness that is behind the control panel with wires running through the connector. This DEFROST SENSOR WIRE HARNESS provides an interface between the evaporator coil and the Electronic Control Board. The wire harness supplied is made of thin gauge wire to cut down on the weight of the harness at only 24 grams (0.85 oz).

Lennox air conditioners feature a state of the art de-frost sensor wire harness, designed to be mounted on the outside of the condenser, where it senses evaporator temperature and generates a timer to cycle ON the defrost heater. It monitors inside evaporator coil temperatures and cycles on and off as needed to prevent freezing during normal operation. This wire harness must be replaced by a factory certified technician or service company if connected improperly or damaged due to misapplications or acts of nature.

The defrost sensor wire harness is used in conjunction with the factory installed defrost sensor and allows the installer to connect a defrost heating system to the appliance. The harness is 25 inches long and made of flexible PVC.
