The LENNOX Limit Control 10M80 with built in tester limits the operation of air-cooled and water-cooled, gas-fired forced electric furnaces, commercial cookers and heaters. The Limit Control operates within a specific temperature differential that is adjustable among 100F to 140F. It senses temperature by 0.1F and controls temperature from a remote location.

The limit switch helps protect furnace components by turning off the furnace if a fault is detected. The limit switch provides for a precise differential temperature on the sensor, which may be a thermowell or bimetal. If the sensor indicates the temperature above 140 degrees F, the relay energizes to protect the furnace and at that same time interrupts power to the ignition transformer, preventing damage. It will automatically reset when the fault is removed.
