TXV (thermostatic expansion valve) control dampers are designed to compensate for varying conditions to maintain desired air conditioning set point by keeping outside air temperature from entering the evaporator coil and refrigerant pressure from reducing excessively. Combined with a variable speed outdoor fan, TXV Valves help provide better comfort while conserving energy by enhancing summertime indoor temperature control in tandem with the AC's compressor and variable speed condenser fan and connecting duct work.

The Lennox 25W22 TXV VALVE is ideal for use in heating and cooling systems that include: single stage gas, hydronic, heat pump and air source heat pumps using a split system. The Stable Coil Relay reduces compressor cycling by working with high reliability to switch the compressor off when it is not needed. An extended-life mechanical link provides precise control response and durability for the life of the product.

The Lennox 25W22 is a 22% efficiency two-stage heating & cooling system featuring the TXV valve. This new TXV valve allows the unit to achieve a more accurate and precise flow of refrigerant to the evaporator coil and is designed to provide lower pressure drops across the outdoor compressor, which in turn leads to high power factors.

The Lennox® 25W22 is a 1/2" nominal capacity TXV valve with a 25W22 test curve that promotes easy air flow and temperature control for optimal comfort. The TXV valve has a 22" (559 mm) body length to fit compactly into the wall cavity. This valve is also designed to meet ASHRAE 90.1 Heating Systems Standard for Type XB units.
