The Defrost Sensor W/Harness is a factory assembled harness that allows you to easily connect a defrost sensor to the Lennox® condensing unit. This controller will run the fan to automatically defrost the evaporator coil, reducing the need for manual defrosting.

This is a brand new aftermarket Lennox defrost sensor with harness. It has the plug wire and connector for connecting to your existing wires. It is the same as what you will receive if you buy a new Lennox unit.

The Lennox® defrost sensor is equipped with built-in harness that attaches to two terminals - one for constant 24VAC power and another for a 24VDC grounded circuit guage. The harness permits you to simply connect the defrost temperature probe, a thermistor, to the defrost sensor and attach the other end of the harness to its respective wires.

This Assembly includes a Defrost Sensor for Residential Central Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps. It has a 2-Wire Input, 2-Wire Output with Harness.

The Defrost Sensor wire harness (28W70) is designed to monitor the evaporator coil temperature to prevent damaging ice from forming at the entrance of the air handler. The Defrost Sensor wire harness (28W70) is a replacement part for Lennox furnaces. It cannot be used in conjunction with NT Series or NTA Series Thermal Expansion Valves.

Lennox® defrost sensor uses a thermistor, which is a special type of resistor that changes its resistance when the temperature around it changes. The new defrost monitor employs advanced circuitry and microprocessor technology. This Lennox® defrost sensor also features a harness with wire connectors.
