Heat Exchanger
Heat exchangers are used to transfer heat from one medium to another. A double pass heat exchanger can be used to transfer heat within a building by exchanging the humid air inside the building with fresh outside air. Fresh air is drawn in through the bottom of the heat exchanger and is heated by the warm air inside the building that passes over it. The warm air then rises up into the upper part of the coil and passes out of the unit through vents at top.
The Lennox 46k94 Heat Exchanger Module is used in the Lennox G16N & G24N Residential Gas Furnaces. This exchanger contains an electro-polished alloy tube, a labyrinth style fluid inlet, and is programmed with an electronic ignition which provides electronic continuous ignition.
The 46 Series Industrial Heat Exchanger is a vertically-oriented product with factory-installed cast iron headers and suspension. The interior is steel while the exterior housing is painted sheet metal. This exchanger is designed to tranfer thermal energy from one process fluid to another process fluid at temperatures up to 565C.
The 46K-Series heat exchanger is a compact, two-pass, shell and tube design with integrated cooling coils. It is designed to be vertically mounted, either on the wall or floor. The standard configuration features ¾" stainless steel tubing and two rows of 30/64" diameter aluminum fin tubes.
Through-the-wall air conditioner heat exchange coil. Heat exchanger in air conditioning unit for heat transfer between refrigerant and outdoor air.
A heat exchanger transfers thermal energy between two fluids while allowing the fluids to flow around each other and interact only at the surface. Heat exchangers are used in heating, cooling, ventilation, air-conditioning, power plants, process engineering and petrochemical industries. They are found in devices such as refrigerators and air conditioners where they are used to transfer thermal energy from a cool fluid to a hot fluid.
The Lennox 46K94 is specifically designed for use as an air-cooled heat exchanger. This Lennox outdoor unit has made history as the most efficient air-cooled heat exchanger on the market.
