EXPANSION VALVE

The Contura EXPANSION VALVE is an excellent replacement option to upgrade existing Lennox brand or other brands of condensing units. This valve features a drain for condensate, and is compatible with 3/4" hose line. It has a valve capacity of 21000 BTU per hour and comes equipped with a 3/8" copper line inlet union.

Expansion valves are used to eliminate excess pressure in the cooling coil and allow for surface unit operation throughout the range of ambient temperatures. By eliminating unnecessary cycles on/off, vibration and noise are reduced, while increasing actual cooling.

Uncompromised performance requires a return air temperature at a comfortable level in the home. An Air Conditioning Contractor can increase the efficiency of your cooling system by using Lennox Expansion Valves (59W21) at your outdoor unit and indoor return air locations.

Expansion valve is necessary on every Lennox® system. It is used to increase the amount of air going into your ducts when it is cold outside so you can maintain the temperature inside your home or business.

The Lennox® Expansion Valve is used in a variety of applications designed to optimize comfort through the use of variable speed air conditioning, sales, and electric heat. In heating mode, the valve is used to control a supply of heat (thermal energy).

Lennox® 59W21 Expansion Valve is the original factory-installed expansion valve used in Lennox® H25/H25i furnaces. It is used in a variety of Lennox® and other brand furnaces as an OEM part. It controls the temperature of incoming refrigerant, and maintains constant flow characteristics to protect your equipment. This product should be replaced if it fails. Please follow your furnace manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule for replacing the expansion valve.
