The Lennox® Liquid Line Filter Drier (LFD) is a filter that installs in the main liquid line between the outer suction line and furnace. It is used for 240 volt gas-fired/oil-fired furnaces. The LFD functions on all modern, electronically controlled furnaces.

The Lennox Liquid Line Filter Drier is the key element needed to complete your installation of a Lennox liquid line filter (sub-micron) element. The Lennox Liquid Line Filter Drier allows the filter system to operate at peak efficiency, removing any air or foreign matter before it reaches the sub-micron element, extending the life of the filter.

The Lennox Liquid line filter drier is designed to be installed at the base of your HVAC system, adjacent to the heat exchanger. There it will prevent scaling and hardening of the water in the liquid line due to the extreme cold temperatures during the initial start up. The capacity of the filter drier acts as a reservoir for holding back water that has not been completely expelled after the initial startup.
