The Lennox 71401-185 Limit Control (Stilt-185) is a limit safety control feature, which provides over-temperature protection for rooftop heating and air conditioning equipment. This tough and durable component is capable of shutting off the unit in the event of excessive heat buildup, preventing extensive unit damage that would otherwise occur. In order to shut off the electric motor, grill function, or burner operation of your Lennox equipment, this product utilizes an electrical thermal fuse that self-destructs in the event it reaches its melting point. This fuse operates with a set temperature range of 185 degrees Fahrenheit at a 25 percent

The Lennox® 71W41 HVAC Limit Control (Stilt-185) is designed for use with most Series 71W41 and newly approved Series 79E81 furnaces. The Stilt-185 limit control is equipped with a key switch status indicator light and two circuit breaker designated OFF/ON settings. This control has a maximum capacity of 40 cubic feet per hour for cooling or 100 cubic feet per hour for heating or both at the same time, and can be installed in furnace, air handlers, accessories, and heat pumps.

The Lennox Stilt-185 Limit Control is an electronic single zone water heater control. It is used to limit the maximum temperature that a water heater can deliver.

The Lennox 71W41 Limit Control is designed to stop the discharge of any gas-fired, baseboard heating unit or any combination boiler system whose limit control was installed with pigtail connectors – which is just about all of them. This is a replacement for the 41/2" Stilt Limit Control, if lost, broken, or damaged –

The 71W41 Limit Control senses a drop in water temperature and will activate an 'on' signal to the next series of valves to close down line air. This cycle is repeated until it senses no further change in water temperature, at which time the 'off' signal is sent to the next series of valves to open up line air. When the process is complete, the Limit Control will turn off all series of valves that were activated. The 71W41 Limit Control is adjustable by 3 bolts on top of orifices with differing spacer values included with each unit.
