The Lennox® Manual Temperature Control (MTC) is designed to automatically limit the temperature to 140-170 F. The MTC can be set up as a primary unit or secondary back-up to a thermostat, in addition to detecting rising temperatures during a blower lockout. This device is used for comfort zone control and can greatly improve the overall operation of heat pumps by reducing overheating of the evaporator coils, eliminating freezing of chilled water coil lines, and reducing chiller start-up demand charges by lowering peak loads.
The 79J89 Limit Switch is designed to monitor gas furnace operating limits. This Lennox replacement part is constructed of heavy-duty metal to ensure longevity of use. Featuring an auto reset that powers the switch on once the furnace reaches operating temperature and resets it once power has been disconnected, this replacement part helps prevent tripped limit switches from shutting down heat output. A self-locking, snap action limit switch provides a secure connection to its wires.
