New to the Schlage lineup is the new M504-548 Plug Follower for Modular Cylinders. This accessory is useful for most Schlage residential locks, as well as some commercial locks featuring a modular design and uses a cylinder and follower system. Each package comes with 2 followers.

THE SCHLAGE M504548 PLUG FOLLOWER FOR MODULAR CYLINDERS is a security feature that can be used with modular cylinders. It automatically follows a key inserted into the keyway, and springs back into its original position when the key is taken out.

The M504-548 is for use on Schlage L5 Series (609, 618, 619) deadlatch cylinders. When locks are installed in high traffic areas, the risk of tampering is greater. Use this follower together with Schlage modular cylinders to permit the key/spring tension to be altered without affecting the lock's functionality. Examples of applications are: cable and satellite access control systems, secondary entrances such as doors leading from the garage to the house, or any other locked entry into a high traffic area.
