The Tec Carburetor With Primer for the Garden Way 753-04296 is manufactured by Tecumseh. Tecumseh is a leader in power equipment parts and accessories for outdoor power equipment. The Tec Carburetor is built with two primer tubes that can be adjusted. A venturi tube delivers air to the engine that allows you to start it during hard starting situations. The Tec has an adjustable float and accelerator pump. The new Tec Carburetor is an electric-start replacement carb for John Deere tractors of years '78 to '86.

The Tec series of carburetors includes most cylinder sizes ranging from 1/2 to 2 horsepower and are constructed of all steel housings with zinc plated base plates. The Tec carburetor has integral vent, primer and choke, as well as a non-adjustable throttle slide. Priming is achieved with an external primer bulb. Fuel is delivered through a standard 45 degree brass fuel line with barbed fittings.

The Tec carburetor has been discontinued. This is a replacement part. Tec carburetors take priming and self-adjustment with use, so if your Tec carb is not functioning properly, it might need this part replaced.
