The Garden Way 925-1657A is a vintage, garden tractor manufactured from 1974-1983. The part number for the switch safety is 9251657A .

This safety switch will stop the equipment from operating if the basket or tiller wand is not in its fully raised position. The switch is operated by a rod that is connected to a secondary extension rod. The secondary rod has a T-handle at the end, and is used as a safety handle when lifting and moving the machine.

The 925-1657a safety switch is used on the following Garden Way riding mowers: Optima trim series, 1000 series, 2000 series, 3000 series, 4000 series.

This is a safety switch for the Garden Way Reg. This item is located under the seat of each Garden Way Reg. You must replace this switch with each new ground screw.  If you have an older Reg that has been used and you do not see any damage to the switch, it would be best to replace it anyway because it has been over worked and may fail in time.
