The BR2-LM was developed and manufactured for ultra-modern gasoline engines. In fact, many engines which originally required the conventional iridium spark plug have benefited tremendously by the use of this copper electrode.

NGK BR2S (LM) premium performance spark plugs are designed to withstand extreme high temperature conditions and provide optimal acceleration for the widest range of vehicles on the road today. Designed with a copper core, this plug is made of Iridium-tipped platinum spark plug wire which creates a hotter-burning spark than platinum and copper-tipped spark plugs. The copper helps provide enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced emissions by utilizing the engine's exhaust gases in combustion while at the same time allowing an extremely rapid transfer of heat from the tip to the center electrode.
