The S480-Y-LF is a lead-free compliant check valve for commercial dishwashers. It is used in the discharge line to prevent back flow against a dishwasher's drain pump. The body and piston are made of rust proof silicon bronze alloy that is highly resistant to corrosion, wear, and fatigue. The check valve has a high reliability spring actuated disc design along with pressure balancing capabilities. The style S480-Y-LF provides positive shut off, full flow characteristics, and integral support. It features PFA/PTFE sealing discs rated to 250 psi pressure.
The S-480-Y-LF is a inline check valve intended for use in applications which require lead-free service. This innovative design provides optimum performance, despite the challenges of lead-free applications. Under normal operation, this product creates a tight seal to prevent back flow and/or siphoning within piping systems. When energized, the resilient disc will lift to augment flow from downstream piping. The disk is then allowed to drop back into place by gravity before fluid can siphon back.
