The Piston/Orifice Metering Device is designed for use on water-cooled Nordyne chillers.

The Piston/Orifice Metering Device of the system is a high-pressure valve that meters the refrigerant to all components of the system, weighing and charging the proper amount of refrigerant into each component based on the liquid line recover (LLR) temperature. The pistons are designed to charge at a higher flow rate when there is additional refrigerant in the system and to charge at lower rates when there is less refrigerant in the system during servicing.

The 664075R is a piston/orifice metering device that allows two different maximum pressures—up to 125% of the gas supply pressure—to be maintained at the inlet to each house valve.
