Pilot Orifice - LP (.011 )
The Pilot Orifice is a calibrated orifice that can be installed on a gas regulator to precisely set gas flow without using gauges. It is used where a precise mixture setting is required, such as in laboratory or scientific research, or for mixing gases for pyrotechnical applications. The standard orifice is .011 diameter.
The Pilot Orifice is required on most grills with direct mounted pilot assemblies. The valve regulates gas flow from the LP tank regulator to the grill pilot assembly. If the pilot flame goes out or the gas pressure drops, it is due to a restriction (blockage) in the line. You can often correct this situation by removing that piece of obstructing material and then adjust the height of the Pilot Orifice.
The Pilot Orifice makes lighting your appliance simple. The porcelain tip channels gas to the pilot flame for reliable ignition every time. To replace, simply twist off and rotate the Aluminum top cap. 'Easily fits large or small grills, permits even gas flow, installs without removing burners or adjusting fuel lines.'
The orifice is #211-0806 for the F1000 LP. The pilot orifice on a gas appliance is the valve providing the pilot flame under the cooktop.
A pilot orifice is designed to limit the maximum gas pressure that reaches a regulator at the inlet of a pressure regulator assembly.
The pilot orifice is the restriction between the pilot burner and the main burner of a gas-fired range. This part may require adjustment when servicing, repairing or installing a gas appliance.
The correct orifice is essential to make sure that your oven will work smoothly and provide you with the best cooking results. For this reason, Blodgett recommends replacing an orifice every five years. This metal orifice measures .011 inches in diameter and is designed for use with the Blodgett 601 series of griddles.
