Pitco PROXIMITY ACTUATOR; 421489 is a proximity sensor which senses the distance between itself and the object in front of it. There are two types of PROXIMITY ACTUATOR;s… line sensing, which operates over a specific path, and zone sensing, which measures an area in front of it. These devices can be used as part of a door security system by closing a hold-open door when someone approaches it from up to 8 feet away. Use them to trigger gates when an object enters their field of view, or make them part of a traffic control system for monitoring
