The RADIANT;19-5/16 X 3-3/4 Series is the entry level of the Southbend line which offers the most value in restaurant equipment. This new style has a clean sleek build while maintaining a high level of functionality. With capacities ranging from 30 up to 90 cubic feet and overall sizes from 33 to 48 inches, the 241040 will accommodate all types of foodservice operations. The RADIANT;19-5/16 X 3-3/4 is a CAST IRON GRIDDLE. RADIANT; cast iron griddle, in in its raw state is very brittle. The material is machined and then oven blasted to Rockwell 48-50 for added strength. After it is machined the finished part is heated in an oven to 1025 degrees Farenheit and then cooled rapidly with water to avoid warping and distortion. Radiant energy from the gas burner surrounds the food being cooked with intense heat from all sides. The result: cooked foods with a crispy crust and moist, well-cooked interiors.
