Relief valves are designed to relieve excessive gas pressure at or above rated limits. Relief valves are required on automatic machinery to prevent damage and can be used on a variety of applications to relieve pressure most commonly in the piping, tank, or vessel. The relief valves incorporate a spring-loaded, metallic seating disc that prevents leakage from the system while allowing pressure to escape easily.

This relief valve controls the flow of water, steam or air to a system. It replaces mechanical governor mechanism, allowing operation to any set point between 30-300psi (2.1-20.7bar). It may be used on hot water, air and other fluids in closed systems.
