IDB Coupling

The IDB coupling is a direct replacement for the existing coupling on your air conditioning unit. Installation is as easy as removing your old coupling and pushing this one in.

The IDB coupling installs in a standard unit and allows the unit to connect to another identical unit or to other Rheem units. The IDB is not for use with the entire line of Rheem units!

The IDB (Intermediate Drain Box) coupling is used to connect the water supply line to the water supply stub-out.

A thermal expansion joint is installed between the distribution piping and the radiant floor tubing to allow for thermal expansion of the piping without transferring this movement to the pipes in the radiant floor system. This IDB coupling is a high-quality, cost-effective alternative to an expansion sleeve with no impact on design options.

Rheem IDB coupling. Fits new, old steel, and new PVC Ruud 1/2 MWL-1 heat pump condensing units. Used to connect the 1 inch sections of flex tubing to the center section of the blower section fan.

To order, you must correctly identify the gas valve. Your Hydrostatic service company will then install the replacement IDB at your convenience.
