The Water Sensor can be installed in any section of the RHEEM/Ruud Tankless Water Heater Multi-Voltage Control Unit. Features a unique, adjustable design that allows the Water Sensor to fit inside any model of our multi-voltage control unit.

Our Water Sensor is a compact, battery powered monitor, that detects changes in water pressure and temperature. It uses a non-invasive technology that attaches to the home's water supply line, so it can easily be placed in any area of the home and hidden behind furniture. It continuously monitors the water pressure and temperature of your home and sends an alert to your smartphone via the web if something changes. Once alerted, you can also ask Rheem for assistance right from where you are.

Water sensors can be added to any Rheem, Ruud natural gas or propane tank that is equipped with a remote water sensor port. The sensor triggers an audible alarm when water seeps into the tank, warning you of potential problems. Water sensors may be added to existing tanks or with new equipment.

The Ruud Water Sensor is integrated into the outdoor condensing unit and will sound an alarm if it detects risk of water damage. It is not a direct replacement for the refrigerant gas leak detector. A dual technology approach to detecting leaks, this sensor senses temperature and humidity changes as well as water vapor.

Technological advances in water heaters have provided a convenient new feature: the water sensor, which is designed to help save energy and reduce utility bills. A water sensor notifies you when enough water has accumulated in the tank for the heater to operate, so you don't waste fuel. This feature is especially useful for tank-type models with separate elements, as well as for very large capacity tank heaters that don't reach an operating temperature for over 24 hours

The RHEEM® Water Sensor generates a warning signal when water levels rise to a potentially damaging level. This easy-to-install accessory can be placed at any height on the water supply line, and the small float changes colour to indicate high or low water levels. A red (high) and yellow (low) LED indicator flashes to alert homeowners to take corrective action.
