SPST N/C M/R Limit
This Limit Control is designed to keep the limit switch from over-traveling. When field wiring the limit control, the wiring connects to a mechanical stop switch on the motor of the unit. This stop switch stops the burner motor from running when it has reached its maximum travel. To reset this unit, pull on the red cord, which is attached to a tension / spring device so that the Limit Control moves to a safe and centered position. This allows for proper operation in all applications.
Use this manual reset limit control to stop your heating system from operating if a problem occurs. Many times, homeowners will have a limit control installed that is placed on the return line to prevent metal parts from freezing.

The Rollout Limit Switch is a new feature that will electronically limit the furnace's maximum run time. This switch can be easily installed inside the furnace cabinet without any modifications of the blower. If at any time during a heating cycle, this limit switch detects that energy flow through it has exceeded a predetermined amount, it will promptly turn off the gas valve to protect the burner and/or furnace.
The RHEEM 47-22383-33 Ruud Weather King Parts L230F manual reset limit control.
The Limit Control is electrical limit device that is used for gas furnaces to sense limit switch at a predetermined value and then provide the drive signal for the Limit Valve in order to maintain the constant required flame height.
Rheem's Protech® limit control is a unique, space-saving design that allows the limit control reset button to rotate out and in of the front cover. This gives the installer flexibility with wiring options when installing flue gas temperature sensors. The mercury switch is soldered onto the flue gas sensor, eliminating the possibility of thermocouple connector separation between the sensor and the limit control.
