The RHEEM AE-64401-06 -Ruud BLOWER CUT-OFF is a brand new "drop in replacement" part which means that it will fit into your existing chassis assembly; no lengthy wiring or splicing is required.

Blower Cut-Offs are safety devices designed to cut off power to the indoor blower motor in the event of a power failure. Rheem / Ruud Blower Cut-Offs will test and reset automatically following a power failure.

If blower operation is interrupted during a defrost cycle, the blower may not resume. The system is designed to finish the defrost cycle and then automatically reset to ON.

When the blower motor in your Ruud heat pump stops, it is in a "cut-off" state. The blower motor has stopped because your thermostat is calling for heat but there is no heat to be had. When you select the appropriate buttons, the heat unit will attempt to start up again if it can – now you should see the blower motor start to spin again.

Turn off your blower to prevent it from over-pressurizing the condensing unit, causing it to freeze up and stop working

Conveniently and easily stops the blower fan when unit is in cooling or heating mode.
