The LP Pilot Assembly is a genuine Rheem replacement part. This assembly will work on select Ruud, Rheem, and Pennington gas boilers. Always be sure to check your owners manual for compatibility or confirm the model number with your dealer. This item replaces the following part numbers: SP20784 & SP20782.

The LP Pilot Assembly (S1M-CO) is used to supply low pressure gas from the LP Tank to the Gas valve. It cannot be used in conjunction with any draft inducer dampers or accessories.

The Rheem LP Pilot Assembly SP20754 is an Assembly. It's 3/4"" SH x 2.25"" GAC". The Rheem SP20754 Gas Coils and parts come with a one year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Over the years, the one area of a furnace that is neglected and even abused, the LP pilot assembly, takes a severe beating. Moisture can accumulate inside of the hydronic thermocouple as a result of condensation. Some brands recommend opening your air vent at least once a year. This is ridiculous! The moisture that gets into the hydronic thermocouple should not be there because it will eventually cause corrosion which bars heat transfer from the pilot to the gas valve. If you have any moisture in the pilot shield you should change it immediately.

The Rheem SP20754 - Ruud LP Pilot Assembly has a thermoplastic gas pressure regulator with a pilot output of 1/8” NPT and a safety shut-off valve. This assembly is single through-wall inlet and has an adjustable screw for control of pilot and main flame.
