The M/R Electric Thermostat from Rheem is a programmable thermostat that is specifically designed and manufactured for use with Rheem water heaters. It should not be used with any other manufacturer's product or any other type of water heater except those manufactured by Rheem.
Our M/R Electric Thermostats feature larger easy-to-read display fonts and are packaged with detailed installation instructions designed for novice HVAC users. The SP11699 has a 2.5-inch NEMA 4/4X diameter dial with flexible temperature range of 32 to 99 degrees Fahrenheit and a temperature differential of seven degrees F.
