The RIDGE R37890 Manual Threading/Pipe and Bolt Dies Only - 1-1/2" NPT HS PIPE DIE 12R allows the user to produce a large number of bolts with a single pass. This die is designed not to bind in the lathe and helps reduce production time and cost. This die features a hardened lead screw that moves slowly for easy stoppage on partial lengths.

Each carburized die has been subjected to a proprietary "burnishing" process for maximum thread life and ease of use. Designed for dies from 1-1/2" NPT to 2-1/8" with 12 threads per inch (12tpi).
Pipe dies are made from malleable iron and are designed to cut threads on the end of a pipe or bolt. #12 dies can be used on fittings with 12-32 threads.
