AIR PRESSURE SWITCH 1.60/.40-DEACT-N/O
The YORK, AIR PRESSURE SWITCH 1.60/.40-DEACT-N/O is a pressure switch that automatically diverts air to the pump only when the relative pressure reaches .40 inches water column (14.5 psi) or higher, and deactivates the pump at .80 inches water column (28 psi) or lower (2). It is used in high static applications with an external static accumulator tank.

The 1.60/.40-DEACT-N/O Series Air Pressure Switches are designed for use on air, water, low pressure steam, liquid actuated actuated actuated valves, to actuate pneumatic devices, and to operate other associated pneumatically operated devices. These low cost switches proceed to deactuate once the upstream pressure has dropped below .025" w.c. Although these switches are available in several types and configurations they all incorporate internal diaphragms designed for positive opening.

Attached to your York hand or foot pump, the S1-02434769000 switches on when the desired amount of inflation is reached (usually 1.60 PSI). We recommend using either the .60 PSI setting for indoor soccer balls and basketballs, or the .40 PSI setting for volleyball and baseballs. The "N" terminal acts as an on/off switch while the "O" terminal will send current to turn an external device (typically an alarm) on.
