The pilot/needle valve assembly is a burner assembly with a pilot and needle valve. This assembly is constructed of brass for durability and includes a pilot light to ignite the gas coming from the main manifold.

The Pilot Burner is made of steel, with a plated finish. The pilot burner ignites natural gas.

The burner assembly is the gas valve, burners and orifices (if applicable) that ignite to heat the tank for cooking. The burner assembly has specific applications and it is sold by weight. When replacing your cooking surface be sure to replace all of the old burners with new ones of the same dimensions.

The flame spreader on your pilot burner is designed with holes that are intended to regulate the burners combustion process. The rate of combustion determines the speed at which the flame moves across the gas, affecting its heat output. If there are holes in this specially constructed adjustable burner, the flame may still ignite properly, but not burn consistently. When this happens, you will likely notice that your gas grill is not producing even heat or temperature readouts on the temperature gauge.

The assembly is a replacement for the original assembly that is no longer available. It includes a burner assembly, a drip tray and a spring.  This may fit other brand models not manufactured by York  and may  require modification  for proper installation.
