Universal Hot Surface Ignition Module is designed as a replacement for various brands and models of heating equipment. Compatible with natural gas or LP, this module can be used in heaters with single, dual or multi-stage safety switches. Featuring an easy-to-install design, it offers compatibility with #2, BC or SC threaded thermocouples and is easily field configurable from the front or rear of the unit.

The S8910U3000 universal hot surface ignition mod is a sealed module. It is designed to replace a flame failure switch, primer or flame lockout switch in a variety of fireplaces. The ignition modification monitors the gas valve and verifies that the gas line isolation valve is open before enabling the gas supply to any appliance or heater. The ignition mod also acts as a power failure lockout switch by sensing either AC voltage or pilot light voltage to enable the control board to function with all types of power sources including solar.

With the Honeywell 316742 S8910U3000 Universal Hot Surface Ignition Mod for gas logs, you can convert a surface ignition system into a hot surface ignition system. Gas logs that come with one pilot light ignitor can now be changed to two in order to avoid over firing and reduce heat loss. The ignition mod is designed with a one piece housing that is made of durable materials for long lasting performance. It comes with terminals that snap off for convenient installation and adjustment.
