The Safety Thermostat is an inexpensive replacement for the standard thermostat that come equipped on many gas grills. Its main purpose is to shut off the LP gas flow when the grill's temperature goes over 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).

The Safety Thermostat protects against overheating and potential burn injuries by sensing when the temperature has reached approximately 1020 degrees and cutting off power to the element.

The Safety Thermostat prevents the gas from reaching temperatures above 400°F (204°C). If the flame burns out, or any other malfunction occurs, the Safety Thermostat will shut off the gas supply and monitor for hot spots.
